Our card for this is a brilliant white card obtained from renewable sources, it has a silk finish.

Gloss Range
These cards are not laminated but are printed onto what the paper mill class as Gloss card, we prefer to call it satin as the final product is not a high gloss.
This card provides a very crisp image and produces fantastic colours which are the best solution for business cards that contain photographic images.
They do appear thinner than some of cards as the gain is more dense which produces better results for photographs.
Textured Range
This is a laid card which is perfect for producing the classic textured look,
has a Diamond white colour producing that little something extra for your cards.
(not suitable for cards with photographic or large blocks of colour)
Dispite its low gram weight this is a thick card and more like our 400gsm standard card for its thickness and stiffness.

History of Burton-on-Trent
There does not seem to have been human settlement on the site of Burton until Anglo Saxon times. Burton is situated on the Roman road, Ryknild Street, that ran between Letocetum (Wall) and Little Chester near Derby and a few artefacts have been found, but nothing to suggest a large or more permanent human settlement. The position of the town on the banks of the River Trent made it easy to transport goods and people.
The site of Burton may have been given to an early Bishop of York to develop a monastery. An early name could have ‘Mudwennestow’ or ‘Modwen’s holy place’, a saint who had links with the site. The name ‘Burton’ from the 8th century has the meaning ‘settlement in a fortified place’, suggesting that the settlement was considered a defensible site.
The making of cloth and production of wool were early industries. The River Trent was made navigable for boats during the early 18th century and this changed the town’s fortunes. By the 19th century, the breweries in the town could transport their products throughout the world. Other industries included ironworks and Marmite, made from a by-product of brewing.
Burton found it difficult to find land to expand in the 20th century, but with amalgamation of breweries and rationalising rail tracks, extra land has been found to build business parks to bring new industry to the town.
