Our card for this is a brilliant white card obtained from renewable sources, it has a silk finish.
For most uses our standard range offers the best value for money and quality.
Gloss Range
These cards are not laminated but are printed onto what the paper mill class as Gloss card, we prefer to call it satin as the final product is not a high gloss.
This card provides a very crisp image and produces fantastic colours which are the best solution for business cards that contain photographic images.
They do appear thinner than some of cards as the gain is more dense which produces better results for photographs.
Textured Range
This is a laid card which is perfect for producing the classic textured look,
has a Diamond white colour producing that little something extra for your cards.
(not suitable for cards with photographic or large blocks of colour)
Dispite its low gram weight this is a thick card and more like our 400gsm standard card for its thickness and stiffness.

History of Doncaster
Doncaster was originally the site of a Roman fort situated at a crossing of the River Don. A horse garrison was stationed there which was mentioned in the Register of Dignitaries or ‘Notitia Dignitatum’, a document produced at the turn of the 5th century. It contains the name of almost every military unit in the Roman Empire and their garrison towns. Doncaster was considered to be important because of its location on a major Roman route north.
The Saxons took over when the Romans moved on. The Romans had called the village ‘Danum’ and the Saxon word for military camp was ‘ceaster’ hence ‘Doncaster’. In the early 12th century, the Treaty of Durham placed Doncaster as territory of Scotland. It is possible that this decision has never been reversed.
Doncaster has large reserves of natural resources in the form of coal. The River Don and later the canal system enabled coal to be exported more easily. Mining brought large expansion to Doncaster, however in the 1970’s and 1980’s many pits were closed and Doncaster had to diversify.
The location of Doncaster on the A1 enabled companies to use it as a distribution centre. New retail centres were built and the town’s proximity to Sheffield enabled steel foundries, rolling mills and wire mills to be built. The railway brought even better transport to the town.
